10 Good examples of lower thirds
There are a couple of graphics that some productions just have to have – titles and credits being most popular.
From news interviews to press junkets, to show who is on screen, you’re more than likely going to use lower third graphics.
Lower thirds can range from simple text on a faint background, to full motion graphics, that use cool transitions to appear on screen and then dissapear off.
An often neglected graphic, I’ve put together a list of my top 10. If you’ve seen a good example of lower thirds being used, or you’ve created some good ones yourself – please share them in the comments!

I have an example of a lower third, which I made for a presentation video for a christian mission center a couple of years ago. It’s pretty unusual because I placed it in the upper left corner. Now I would have preferred to place it in the bottom, but anyway…
